A Naming or Adoption Ceremony provides a beautiful opportunity to surround yourselves with the love of your friends and family, and celebrate your little one with absolute oodles of joy.

A Naming Ceremony can be a completely personal alternative to a christening. You may be a blended family which want to celebrating joining together. Celebrating an Adoption to mark the moment when a child takes on a new family new. These ceremonies creatively carve out a moment to mark a wonderful milestone, and bring families of all shapes and sizes together in love.

Unlike a christening, you’re free to let your imagination go wild and create a ceremony completely personal to you; one that reflects your future together as a family and as a community. As with all my ceremonies, the main thing that matters is that you’re getting the ceremony of your dreams. 

Perhaps you’ve (cleverly) kept your baby’s name a secret and this is the chance to announce it, or maybe it’s a time to come together to make promises to your little one as you plan your life together. The possibilities are endless, and I’m excited to show you the way.

A naming ceremony is typically 20 to 30 minutes long, although its length depends on specific elements you choose to include, such as readings, promises and other personalised aspects.

My Naming ceremony plans include:

✓ An initial, obligation-free meeting/zoom chat to establish your requirements, time-frame and availability and to assess whether I am the celebrant for you. Should you wish to proceed, I would ask that you sign my service agreement and pay a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee to secure my services.

✓ Second meeting/zoom to discuss details of your naming ceremony, gather further details. A personalised ceremony written telling your families story, your hopes and wishes for the future.

✓ Access to my resources (poems and verse, ritual ideas and music suggestions).

✓ A final meeting/zoom to discuss the completed ceremony script, what will happen on the day and answer any questions you may have

✓A professionally printed commemorative certificate.

✓A professionally printed out copy of the naming ceremony script.

✓ I will dress appropriately to ensure that I reflect your dress code.

✓ I will arrive 30 minutes prior to conducting your ceremony on the day and can liaise with other onsite professionals, e.g. your venue Manager, photographer, videographer or audio engineer to ensure a smooth running of events, allowing you to relax and enjoy your special day.
